2014 + 2017
Paris in any season is magical. Leaves color the myriad trees in the fall, snow makes the city feel like a fairy tale in the winter, flowers are abundant in the spring, and summer is simply summer. Though both my winter trips in 2014 and 2017 lacked snow to make it feel as if I was in a Disney movie, it might be best I don't complain. I hate the extreme cold and perhaps the freezing temperatures and precipitation would've drove me inside to a cafe. With frigid but not unbearable weather, I was able be out and about while enjoying my vin chaud. Remember after all, my favorite thing about traveling might just be wandering around to my heart's content.
Much of what makes Paris beautiful to me is in the execution. Both the simple and complex curiosities I come across are completed with intent. And understand that I say come across very literally. With every street, you have the chance to stumble upon a standout feature. Whether it's the common storefront looking as if it was just painted or the Conciergerie clock that dates back to 1535 decked out in gold, Paris is full of surprises for the curious and observant tourist. As you scroll down this page, know that most of my pictures just came from stopping at what piqued my interest as I meandered through the city’s streets.
